TIMELINE

The Outcome Counseling UAP Timeline offers a US-based 234-entry chronology dating to 2004, the year of the infamous Tic-Tac UAP incident. For an entry to be included, statements and evidence could be traced to multiple trustworthy sources. For a publication to be included, it needed to be published by a reputable journal or publisher or shared on an open-access repository dedicated to scholarly articles.  A guide to initialisms and acronyms is found below the timeline.  A cantankerous guide to the proper use of "UAP" and "UAPs" is found below that.

"UAP" OR "UAPs"

From Reuters, to AARO, to NewsNation, writers still cannot grasp correct use of "UAP" and "UAPs." Their misstep stems from thinking that since UAP means "unidentified anomalous phenomena" this initialism "is already plural." However, initialisms are singular lexical units. Writing, "He observed two UAPs" is just as correct as writing, "The engine exploded at 7,000 RPMs" (revolutions per minute), "He nailed four RBIs" (runs batted in), and "The POWs were fed 200 MREs" (prisoners of war, meals ready to eat).
